Rat Patrol, founded 2006 in Seattle, Washington, is a non profit organization with the primary purpose of maintaining a shared workspace for it’s members to restore and repair classic, collectable and custom vehicles. Additionally, the club actively works with community outreach, providing fundraising and volunteer efforts in the greater Puget Sound area.
Since 2007, Rat Patrol, with the Piston Packin’ Mamas Car Club, has organized and presented the Seattle Spring Opener Car Show and Fundraiser. This event has raised more that $10,000 in cash contributions to Treehouse, a local non-profit that provides foster kids with academic and other essential support to help them graduate high school with a plan for their future.
Additionally Rat Patrol has provided fundraising for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, volunteer work for WestSide Baby’s car seats recycling program, built and installed playground equipment at Dearborn Park Elementary School, along with other direct donations to local non-profit organizations.
Beyond traditional fossil fueled vehicles, we actively support our local pedal powered bicycle community. Rat Patrol members ride bicycles and support alternative transposition, favoring our classic and custom fossil fuel powered vehicles for special occasions. We are pro-conservation, maintaining strict recycling and waste procedures in all of our efforts, and are exploring options with retrofitting traditional fossil fueled classic vehicles with alternative power sources.
We are committed to building community and lasting relationships with everyone in the Northwest and beyond, looking forward to all the good times to come.
